Learner Policies
PURPOSE
These policies are intended for courses and training programs delivered through the NCCI learning platform. They provide a clear baseline for enrollment, payment, refunds, course access, privacy, and learner conduct.
1. Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Course purchases may be eligible for a refund if: a refund request is submitted within 7 calendar days of purchase and the learner has not started the course.
- Refund requests should be submitted to director@ncciinc.org. Requests should include the learner's name, course name, purchase date, and order information.
- Approved refunds can only be issued to the original payment method. Processing times may vary by payment provider or financial institution.
- After the 7-day refund period, purchases are generally non-refundable unless NCCI determines that an exception is appropriate.
- If a course is canceled, withdrawn, or becomes unavailable because of an issue attributable to NCCI, NCCI may provide a full or partial refund, replacement course, or other appropriate remedy.
- Refunds for promotional purchases, bundles, subscriptions, or other special offers may be subject to the specific terms presented at the time of purchase.
- A refund does not automatically delete a learner's account or other information. Account and transaction information may be retained as required for legitimate business, accounting, legal, or security purposes.
2. Course Access & Enrollment Policy
- Course access begins after successful enrollment and payment, when payment is required.
- Access duration is determined by the course or program settings displayed at the time of enrollment. Where a course specifies a defined access period, access ends when that period expires.
- Course access is intended for the enrolled learner only. Learners may not share login credentials or provide unauthorized access to course materials.
- NCCI may suspend or terminate access when there is evidence of account misuse, credential sharing, payment reversal or fraud, or material violation of these policies.
- If technical problems prevent a learner from reasonably accessing purchased course content, NCCI may extend the learner's access period or provide another reasonable resolution.
3. Payment & Order Policy
- Course prices, applicable taxes, and any promotional terms are displayed during the enrollment or checkout process.
- Payments are processed through the payment provider used by the NCCI learning platform.
- An order is considered complete after the payment provider confirms successful payment.
- NCCI may correct pricing or listing errors and will communicate with affected learners when appropriate.
- Learners should retain their order confirmation and payment receipt for their records.
4. Privacy & Learner Information
- NCCI collects information reasonably necessary to create learner accounts, process enrollments and payments, deliver courses, track progress and completion, issue certificates, provide support, and administer the learning platform.
- Depending on the course or program, learner records may include name, email address, enrollment information, course progress, assessment results, completion status, certificates, and transaction information.
- Payment card information is processed by the payment provider and is not intended to be stored directly in the NCCI learning platform.
- Learner information may be shared with service providers that support platform hosting, payment processing, communications, analytics, or other essential operations, subject to applicable agreements and requirements.
- NCCI may retain learner and transaction records for operational, accounting, legal, regulatory, security, and recordkeeping purposes.
- Learners may contact NCCI regarding questions about their personal information or account.
5. Acceptable Use & Academic Integrity
- Learners are expected to complete assessments and other required coursework honestly and in accordance with course instructions.
- Learners may not copy, distribute, sell, publish, or otherwise make course materials available to unauthorized individuals.
- Learners may not attempt to bypass course controls, interfere with platform operation, access another learner's account, or use the platform for unlawful or abusive activity.
- NCCI may restrict or terminate access when a learner materially violates these requirements.
6. Accessibility & Support
- NCCI is committed to providing an accessible learning experience and will make reasonable efforts to support learners who encounter accessibility barriers.
- Learners who need accommodation or encounter an accessibility issue should contact NCCI using the support contact provided on the platform.
- Where appropriate and reasonably available, NCCI may provide an alternative format, additional time, technical assistance, or other reasonable accommodation.
7. Certificates & Completion
- Certificates are issued when a learner satisfies the completion requirements established for the applicable course or program.
- Completion requirements may include completing required lessons, assignments, quizzes, tests, or achieving the stated passing score.
- NCCI may verify completion records before issuing or reissuing a certificate.
8. Technical Issues & Course Availability
- NCCI will make reasonable efforts to keep the learning platform and course materials available, but temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, third-party services, connectivity, or other technical circumstances.
- Learners should report material technical problems through the support contact provided on the platform.
- NCCI may perform maintenance, modify platform features, or update course content when necessary to operate and improve the training program.
9. Policy Changes
NCCI may update these policies as its training programs, platform, or legal and operational requirements change. The current version published on the learning platform will govern future enrollments unless otherwise stated.
10. Contact Information
Questions regarding refunds, course access, accommodations, privacy, or other learner support matters should be directed to director@ncciinc.org or the NCCI contact information displayed on the learning platform.
